Build resilient cities and protect communities with physics-based environmental intelligence.

Managing the urban climate

Cities create their own weather. Concrete absorbs heat, and skylines alter wind flow. Regional models (10km+) view a city as a single "urban tile," missing the intense heat pockets and wind tunnels that affect livability.

Weatherwise models the urban canopy at 200m resolution. We resolve the "Urban Heat Island" effect street-by-street, identifying vulnerable neighborhoods during heatwaves. This data empowers urban planners and policymakers to design cooler, safer cities and target interventions where they are physically needed most.

Emergency response and civil protection

When disaster strikes, general warnings are not enough. Civil protection agencies need to know exactly where the danger is.

  • Flash Floods: By resolving local topography, we predict runoff in specific catchments that coarser models flatten out.
  • Plume Dispersion: In the event of an industrial accident or chemical leak, our model captures the complex airflow around buildings and terrain, predicting exactly where the plume will drift to guide evacuation zones.

Infrastructure and public works

Public infrastructure—roads, bridges, and drainage systems—is exposed to the elements 24/7. Maintenance relies on accurate anticipation.

We provide public works departments with granular forecasts for road surface temperatures (black ice risk) and storm intensity. This supports proactive decision-making, such as scheduling salting trucks efficiently or lowering reservoir levels before a heavy rainfall event to prevent sewer overflows.

Data sovereignty and integration

Governments require reliable, secure data sources that integrate with national systems. We offer a transparent, physics-based approach that complements national weather services.

Our API allows agencies to define simulation domains over critical infrastructure or specific municipalities. The data is delivered securely to S3, ready to be ingested into GIS platforms or decision-support systems used by emergency centers and local authorities.
